Salkım Hanım'ın Taneleri (1999)

Nimet and Durmuş migrate from Niğde to Istanbul and seek refuge with Bekir, Durmuş's friend from their hometown. Bekir, who works as a butler at Halit Bey's mansion, manages to find a job for Durmuş at the mansion. However, being a porter is not in line with Durmuş's ambitions. He has set his sights on everything that Halit Bey owns, from the mansion to the shops in the Han, and even his mistress Nefise. Meanwhile, due to the Wealth Tax imposed, Halit Bey starts to sell off his belongings to be able to pay the tax for his beloved wife Nora, who is receiving treatment at the nursing home. His brother-in-law Levon gets exiled to Aşkale. The Wealth Tax begins to affect everyone's fate.
