The Holdovers (tt14849194), arrogance and rigidity of the teacher Paul Hunham make him disliked by his students, fellow faculty members, and the principal. With no holiday destination to go to during Christmas time, Paul decides to stay at the school to supervise the students who are unable to go home. However, soon enough, only one student named Angus, who constantly faces the threat of expulsion due to his bad behavior, remains at the school. They are joined by Mary, the head chef, who lost her African American son in Vietnam not too long ago. The three form an unexpected Christmas family in snowy New England, sharing comical misadventures for two weeks.
